The Perfect Burger


I have long searched for “The Perfect Burger”.  I know...a lofty goal to be sure.  But never ever EVER step into a restaurant for that one thing that you have craved, saved calories for, dreamt about eating off of Bradley Cooper’s chest unless that said restaurant takes the bun seriously.  Yes the bun!  No amount of Angus can make up for an inadequate delivery system....oh yes, it’s all about the bun.  

I have found it.  I have found the promise land where a perfectly grilled patty meets a perfect brioche, baked to perfection.  Heaven exists at The Royal Pig in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Since it opened in July of 2012, it has consistently been getting a fair share of buzz among South Florida’s notoriously fickle foodies.  

We heard some of the talk and made our way down to the city to check it out.  The burgers we ordered were ideal, the parmesan truffle fries a happy surprise and the bun ....sublime. (Plus we had the most perfect goblet of Guinness you could ever hope for. No small feat considering my Irish heritage.)  

So, if you are ready to unleash your long suppressed inner carnivore, go, go now, (or at least go when you recover from the wheat grass smoothie your forced down) and get The Perfect Burger.  


Did I mention that the bun was perfect?
